Phaser 3.60.0 Beta 1 is ready
Hi everyone!
After lots of coding, I'm pleased to announce that Phaser 3.60 Beta 1 is now available for testing.
You can grab it from GitHub: https://github.com/photonstorm/phaser/releases/tag/v3.60.0-beta.1
Or from npm using the beta tag: https://www.npmjs.com/package/phaser/v/3.60.0-beta.1
If you're already using 3.55 then this should be a completely safe upgrade. There are no (known!) breaking changes, just new features, updates, and bug fixes. Please see the Change Log on the GitHub link above to see everything that's in this release. You'll also find updated TypeScript defs, too.
The big headliner is Compressed Texture Support, but there's also a lot of important smaller updates across the board, including better handling of isometric tilemaps and create from objects, fixes for capacitor, and more.
If you get time to test this release I'd really appreciate it. Find a bug? Then please open an issue on GitHub. I'm not finished with 3.60 yet, there is still more work to be done, but I'm confident we'll have a solid release ready by the end of October.
